Restrictions for noobs...

Anyway we can get a restriction on how many posts noobs can per day? All new members for, say 1 month can only post 3-4 times a day. Or dock/erase post counters for post whoring noobs. I just hate seeing posts just so a noob gets rid of his noob status.

Maybe we can do the name thing( Knight-soldier-king...) by how long you've been here. Not by posts. ???

I see people that have been on here a couple months with more posts than me and I've been here over a year. I'm on here every day but don't feel the need to bump every thread.

Some Moderators should start docking/restricting post whoring noobs. Skim out some anoying useless posts.

Any other input?

It is something to take in consideration. I think our moderation is a bit weak seeing how many moderators we have. I think another annoying thing I see is name calling, bashing threads, and off-topic posts. :neutral:

Moderation is weak, not bash a Mod. I think we could crack down on pointless posts, bashing, and def. the OFF-TOPIC posts.

I would volunteer to Moderate and clean up some of these waste's of space. I'm sure others could step up a bit too.

As far as the name counter/custumization. It seems like noobs are just trying to be as high rank as possible ASAP. I could/along with others care less if I'm a Knight-King-Soldier... I've been here long enought to not have to post whore and waste space/time.

I'm sure tons of ppl would appretiate the JDM name thing changed to time here, not whored posts. I hope we could do something like this.

You whored the most out of anyone I know. Just because your not as bad now, doesn't mean you didn't do it. I believe ppl that are in your sittuation could be due for a post counter deduction/erasal.

yeah i agree with you but seriously my posts are for thing that interest me, bumping my threads, and for sale threads...5.79 post per day is alot but when im a school i have nothing to do but get on here

I would vote Andrew for a Mod, he seems pretty fair and unbiased usually.

Same with blakkda. These guys also get on here on a daily basis. While all of the mods, including you, Han (:wink:) sometimes don't get on for 2 or 3 days at a time!

I know for a fact 2-3 moderators, including 2point, j3hff, are pretty much nonexistent! I have a strong opinion that their moderator-ship should be removed or transferred to more participating members.

You can just make all the posts in the Miscellanous Forum NOT COUNT, and just have a MOD to deal wuth things like, Nice car, Sweet, or any other posts that seem non-beneficial in other threads, and just erase them :thumbsup: Then when it gets to excessive SEND a WARNING PM to them to slow the F* down on posting and what not. :wink:

The situation with this site is that most of us are from around here, strictly Des Moines area. A lot of the posts here are friendly talk as if you were talking to each other on instant messenging, but it's completely public.

I'm OK with people posting something like "nice!" or "x2", etc., but when people abuse it repeatedly then it becomes a problem. Just don't get caught. I think I might enable the infraction system soon.

you checked this site a few years ago and HELLA stagnant. post some more and contribute. go to h-tech and look at the members with like 15,000 post. they arent hated on but praised.

post count needs to stay i think. for some its a way of showing your seniority on this website (in my mind)

Seniority=time. So the counter shouldn't count for seniority.


Seniority comes from time, not from posting a bunch. Showing that you have been here for a while should mean more.....
