I'd say 90% of the guys on this site drive a Honda, and 99% of those a probably Civic/Integras. You won't find much else ... I can only think of PandaImpreza and he drives a Scooby.
Anyways, post up some pics man.
here are some pics of his rx7

13bt's are cheap now a days just be careful getting one with good compression and not a blown apex seal. definatly good starting point and really clean. i wouldnt suggest turboing a na. they dont have the correct compression for a turbo and the extra compression with force induction is very very hard on the apex seal plus the extra stress on the drivetrain the na's equipment just wont hold up. just thought i'd add my 2 cents

I just picked up my third RX-7 about 2 weeks ago. I have two first gens (a '79 and an '81) and my new second gen ('86 N/A GXL). I will be pulling the engine in the '86 in the next week or two to start the rebuild. Should be a fun project.

Were you talking to me? If so, yea, I was at the show. I actually worked with Toyota of DM to organize the show. I was there in my daily driver '05 Scion tC:

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. I found this site while trying to advertise for the Toyota of Des Moines Import Show and it seems like a neat community so I think I may stick around.
I actually live in West Des Moines, though I am in Ames from time to time. Thanks for the compliment on my tC, it is my baby.
I have only taken a couple of drives in my white SA. I got it running, then it sat over the wintertime, and not it will barely turn over even with a different battery. The engine it currently out of the black FB waiting for me to get them down here to DM so I can rebuild it (probably a winter project). The first gen's are up at my parents' house in northern Iowa (about 2 hours away) so I don't get to work on them much.
The FC just got a garage this weekend down here in DM at my apartment complex so I am gearing up to get the engine pulled on that. I am so excited about this car. I have always wanted a FC and this one came around at the right time. I am so thankful people don't realize the potential and ease of rebuilding rotary engines.

so i take it that you have rebuilt rotaries before?... have you done anything as far as FI/power adder or just the normal rebuild and nothing as far as major HP upgrades?

What model?
I have a GXL that I am still trying to get running. Now that it is getting nicer out, hopefully, I'll be able to spend time out in the garage to get the motor pulled, rebuilt, and put back in.

My baby!!! Man I loved that 81 (black w/ stripe). 4.10 gears in it were sweet. didn't need to leave 1st gear in town. Best $100 I've ever spent.
