so far everyone keeping up with the other thread has agreed that the 16th of June works out good. sense the first BBQ went smooth and everyone had a decent time we have decided to host another. if the date and time arent good for you let us know. we might try to choose a different day, if everyone starts to have a problem with that date. :thumbsup:

this is a fair amount of time for people to get that saturday off or work a morning shift. MIKE.

I just wanted to say some things about the bbq: it seemed ok, I showed up in my piece but I had to be at work, so I was only there for 20 mins or so.

It seemed like a group thing IMHO. Han and his DJ-ing group showed up first (i'm assuming), then JHMCD7 showed up with his crew, and then the squad formerly known as TSR showed up. And in all honesty, the last group repped the "JDM" mantra really hard. The meets are gonna be small, and the top cars (for now, it seems) are gonna be the TSR guys. The two obvious cars in their group were the two JDM front DC's that everyone (I'm sure) noticed, but then there was this:

Maybe two or so people even mentioned the SiR front and rears + lip, let alone noticed it. :thumbsdow

I'm just thinking everyone should at least try and talk to everyone else and get to know people, see what they've done/ are gonna do to their cars, learn some new shit. That's the point of the BBQ.

^ I agree with Sansational on everything he said above. I'm a little disappointed. I don't want this to be a group thing, but it seems like everyone likes it that way. People come and leave immediately, what's the point of a BBQ? Maybe it's the weather or people got better things to do than a JDMCITY BBQ. Me and some of my friends spend a lot of effort and money to set up the BBQ, buying food, and bringing music to add to the taste. I guess we shouldn't have try too hard. There's this group thing that exist everytime....at the last year's BBQ, and the first JDMCITY BBQ; I'm pretty sure it exists in every other event. I felt this BBQ was a waste of my time trying to get people together and enjoy a fun BBQ. Thanks to those who attended and stayed for a while.

So about the new thread about another BBQ this summer. Sorry, but I WON'T be attending it. You guys can go ahead and get another BBQ, not necessarily for JDMCITY. Maybe for a group thing for yourself. I'm thinking about not having a BBQ next year, or the year(s) after. You guys can go ahead and do it if you want.

Bad thing was this meet was at peak hours of the day with a stagnant air advisory and the heat was killing some people. jdmCasey and I were about to jump in the river to cool off. Drinking beer and wearing a thick black shirt didnt help either.

I don't wanna hate or anything since I wasn't there (work), but having a BBQ at 3PM in the middle of summer isn't exactly the best idea. I would say next time plan it to start at 6 or something closer to when the sun goes down.. or when I get out of work. :teeth: Being pretty close to the top of the hierarchy more commonly known as VSA, I've noticed people do then to stay within their comfort level. i think it ended up being pretty damn decent. we really need to work on being on time, me and dave were there for a good half hour before anyone else showed up, but like Han said, asians don't roll that way haha

Yea I was also dissapointed in the turnout and those who were shady. I know it was hot out and everyone complaining about the heat and so on, but there was a wide open shelter that would have helped alittle with shade, but a lot of ppl were either too scared or too shady to come have a seat for atleast 5 min. and introduce themselves. Han shouldn't have to bust his ass for ppl wanting a jdmcity BBQ soo badly and not even contribute or stay for a min. then leave. Othere than that, I had a pretty chill time drinking some cold ones and han and coons delicious chicken. Nice meeting the new members also. End of July I think would be good for another bbq and RSXTYPER'S idea is not bad. Look forward to another one.:thumbsup: :cheers:

:sad: about all the compaining about crews. since when is it a bad thing to have a group of friends that are into the same thing? and it would not be thier responsibility to come to you and say whats up. just go and talk to them. they are only people and from what i seen at the last bbq pretty chill ass people.

yeah, most of us didn't see the effort and work (and not to mention $$$$$) that you and your guys put into it. I'm sure next time will go a lot smoother. And not every BBQ will be flawless. Each will have it's ups and downs. :cheers:
