would you buy these? brake question.

hello everyone im in the market for new brakes but don't have a whole lot to spend i found oem brakes and pads for roughly 100 dollars from autopartswarehouse.com but im looking for better brakes as in gold zinc coated or/and cross drilled rotors i found a set of 4 zinc coated crossdrilled rotors and ceramic pads on e-bay for 160 shipped to me and i was wondering if you would buy these from e-bay i know sometimes the bay stuff is poorly made im wondering if i should risk it... all opinions are welcome

I have seen some rotors in the past, that were cross drilled, start developing cracks on some of the holes over time. It is entirely up to you as the consumer to simply look into something better that has been around longer. I personally would try EBC brakes (to name a few) and see about getting their slotted rotors. If you cannot afford them right now then your best bet is to either wait (unless you are running out fast) or just stick to the autoparts higher quality pads. Then all you would need is to resurface the rotors (pricing may be approximately10-12 bucks per rotors) and be done with it until next time.
Then you could save up to get the upgraded ones you feel more comfortable with......

....But in all, it is my opinion.......so just make sure you look into it more and don't try the cheap route...........Your life depends on these!!

I agree about crossdrilled. Go with slotted. Crossdrill are prone to crack and warp. I run EBC slotted rotors and ebc redstuff pads on my 98 GSX. work great.

then when it comes time for another brake job, some shops don't want to machine crossdrilled rotors. I did machine mine, because I used to have crossdrilled and slotted brembos and it didn't take long for them to warp again.

try placeforbrakes.com when I bought mine they were about the cheapest place on the web.
