Well check all your bearings for a start. Look at the journals and make sure there are no scratches or grooves. Replace all the seals and gaskets that you take apart or that you can see leak. you can take a straight edge to the block and see if its within spec. If it were me I'd go ahead and take the block to a machine shop and have the cylinders honed and the block decked. Might as well make everything is straight while you have it apart. I can't really think of anything else besides make sure you keep EVERYTHING organized and when in doubt, replace it. You don't want to have to this again later because you tried to save a couple of bucks now. Oh you should probably get a manuel off the internet or just buy one

Yeah I completely left out head work. I knew I forgot something. that's just pretty basic advice for any engine rebuild. I'm not sure of anything that is 7mgte specific. Just remember keep everything organized! That is the most important part. Use sandwich baggies and label them. When you actually start to pull out the motor take some pictures of everything. Even if you think you'll remember where something goes, it can never hurt to have an extra picture. I've even seen guys use video cameras.because it was their first time. Its impossible to be over organized when your are doing and engine rebuild. If hour have any questions don't be afraid to ask someone on here. There are a couple of guys here that know their supra stuff.
