POWERcruise 2012 @ BIR mn - pictures

I just wanted to share some pictures from the 2nd annual Power Cruise event held in BIR.

I was looking forward this event since I missed it last year & my civic wasn’t ready for Proving Grounds this year. I was excited to see how my civic would handle on the course compared to other cars.

I logged about 80 miles of hard racing and most importantly seat time.
I liked the fact that you can enter & exit the course anytime & also being allowed to bring passengers.

It was great experience racing with a lot of different cars from imports to domestics.
For paying $60 you can race your car in any events over 3 days.

I only took a few pictures of the cars near/around the MAP tent... so there were a lot of nice cars.

Was leaking some diff fluid driving it hard, but easy fix.

Changing out defective re-man alternator

My pads where shot after a 10 laps (same pads as when I bough the car 10yrs ago).
Luckly my wife came up on Friday night to drop off some Hawk pads.

yeah Fargo (the machinist at map) has a stock single in his 240 with arp head studs and 20g turbo.... freaken makes 340tq at 3500rpms and 320whp @ 26psi...

freaken pulls so nicely and much different than my boosted honda.
when i took it for a ride, i almost felt a little "jaded" from it... took me a while to get over that instant tq.

All those guys from MAP are awesome. I was up at BIR not long ago for their Proving Grounds events. I gotta party with those guys all weekend, so I can imagine that Power Cruise was just as much fun.

yeah map has a bunch of crazy white guys who build nice cars & beat the crap out of them.

powercruise was more of a vacation for us, cause we just relaxed and raced our cars around. Proving Grounds can be stressful at times.

Bigger thangs to come for BIR and MAP for 2013
