Default 1995 240sx

rarely do we get interesting trades come in here at my job but the other day a little gem showed up. a 1995 240sx, 5spd, 110K miles on the clock. had been sitting in an old ladies garage for a while and she traded it in for a vehicle here on the lot. well i'm thinking of taking a stab at it. I'm good buddies with the used car manager here and he's willing to get me a good deal on it, which i will not reveal because it is that good

i don't believe its something i would hang onto but you never know. i test drove it and man is it a fun car to drive. it has its little issues here and there. airbag light on, struts make noise, needs brakes all the way around.

240 dudes, whats the street value im looking at on this little baby? just curious.

heres some pics, shitty but whatever.

scuffs here and there. pretty goddam clean tho. little dent in the back. motor and trans work great

More than you can afford pal. Nissan (vroom-vroom). sorry, had to. Not a bad looking car though. Looks a lot cleaner than most I've seen trying to be sold. If you cleaned up the body, fixed the brakes and possibly suspension you could easily fetch $5k from it. Stock with low miles is always more valuable than modified anything. I'm sure on either coast you could get $8k all day, but that's the coast though, and this is Iowa lol. I'm just basing this on what I've seen sell and how much I know it was bought for.

i may just have to pull the trigger. Also, the engine is 100% bone stock

That's a tough one. The market for 240's is so spaz like that figuring out the value for one is rather difficult. Plus the people that buy them aren't always right in the head.

What I value one at is completely different then what someone else would. Not only that but to go more in depth a current 240 owner will value that car far different then a non 240 owner will. In short, a young kid who has never had one that wants to start drifting is going to see this car as if it's a gift from the gods and he/she will be more than willing to fork over some money for it.

Your best bet for selling it is to list it higher then what you really think it'll sell for then be amazed when someone buys it for that price.

If you plan on selling it list it for 6k. You'll shit your pants when you see what you can get for it.

It's called stupid kids and people selling cars taking advantage of the 240's drift hype. Trust me if you were to list it for 6 you would get some interest. I'm 100% confident you could sell this for 4500-5k. It might take a little bit of time to do but it'll sell for that.

So I just picked this up from the good buy dealership on 14th. Drives nice, and got a hell of a deal. Unfortunately no prostitute.
