Default 99 civic si swap

Okay guys, I have a 99 si that was gutted by the previous owner. He put a d16y8 back in it. Now I bought a b20b vtec and my buddy is telling me it's gonna be a huge hassle dropping it in. I bought the complete swap mounts etc. shouldn't it be just a bolt in n go or is it really gonna be a huge hassle?

If it has the original engine harness, that should be a plug and go. As long as you have the Si T-bracket, B-series axles, and B-series shift linkage, it should be a drop and go swap. The drivers side motor mount needs the proper 2 post mount on the block. The passenger side mount uses the same bracket on both the D and B transmissions.

Not much more to it than that.

That's great news, thanks! I bought his motor mounts, shift linkage, axels everything. I'm still new to the import scene and never done a swap. So fingers crossed haha
