Jesse along with others.......click on this link: http://magnusmotorsports.com/ then go to tech section and read through the "theory of crank walk". Should shed some light in this subject.....specially from these guys.

in ohio an minnesotta the dsm scene is HUGE, an yes one will crankwalk every now and then, but nothing to crazy, also any other car brand/manufacturer will have some that will crankwalk, its all in the luck of the draw imo,

I dont think so, when a dsm is broke down, or doesnt start or whatever the case may be, its usually not even because of the crankwalk.. people just try and find things to blame.. my 2 cents

cant agree more an most have been put together by people who dont know what they are doing, or they by the car slap a bigger turbo on it turn up the boost controller an dont do any fuel mods or tuning then cry when it blows up,

This car was stock.. no internal mods. Again, guys.. it blew up just by starting it.. not reving or racing... It doesn't seem possible, but it is. and the proof is sitting in my drive way..

Idk what you think the firewall is but it is between the engine bay and passenger compartment, crank walk does not put the crank pulley 1mm from that...

Yes crank walk will usually happen then because the thrust bearing is dry and the weight of the clutch pulling on it during start up will wear the trust bearing, rule #1 to stop premature thrust bearing wear unplug your bottom clutch swith and always start in neutral without depressing the clutch.

I have a set of bearings for a 2g 7bolt engine that are machined to prevent crank walk, a friend of mine had a 4xxhp 99gsx and he ran 11s with it year after year no crank walk issues, let me know if your interested.

sorry the driver side engine bay framing...I gotta tear the engine apart first to see what damage it caused. then I will know..if I need them..

it runs and drives good now..it's fixed. anytime someone buys a used car, they always assume the worse anyways. They never believe what you tell them. They only believe what they see..
