If you did blow the head gasket, i suggest draining the oil asap. I'm pretty sure the antifreeze will eat the rod bearings if it sits in there too long. You know what happens after that.

Yeah, he will need to see what Is going on before auto x season....really wish I could of helped him but once he figures all this stuff out, I'll see what I can do for him....I don't like seeing peoples daily drivers out of commission.

i told you about the LMAs when you thought it was your "lifters". they didn't fuck up big time, for the most part they last for a long time in most heads. it doesn't prove there is something wrong with yours.

IT'S THE HEAD GASKET!!!!!!!!!

Head gaskets can leak in any number of ways, just because there's no "cream" in the oil pan does not mean the head gasket is not leaking.

The fuel smell is most likely from the car running rich and lack of oil change or worn out rings.

Ok, also keep in mind that this engine is how old? 19-21 years old with a stock head gasket? The fuel smell/running rich could be several problems due to the age of the engine.

Like piston rings are shot or are full of carbon or valve seats and seals are bad.

Has anything been done to the engine since you had it tuned? If parts have been changed, depending on which parts, this could change the tune and cause a rich condition. The car was tuned at WOT with an A/F of 13 to 1 and part throttle was 14.2 to 14.8.

I change my oil on my eclipse every 1500 miles.....MAXIMUM!

i am still wondering why you needed a tune, especially if its not a good one and is running rich...

its a stock motor, use a stock map...

timing and fuel maps. you shouldn't have had to "tune" it. the stock fuel and timing maps are easily available online.

either the people you talk to are completely retarded or you are not explaining what they told you well at all...you have a map on it now, all FI cars require fuel and ignition maps to know when to fire and when to inject gas. all a map is is information on the chip on your ecu.

all of the same things you have to do on a LS you have to do on a B20...

Exactly what nate is saying....Burn a STOCK PR3 map onto a chip, place it in your ecu....Its what 99% of people that have stock engines with P28 ecu's do. No reason for a tune on a completly N/A engine, unless you want maybe 2hp.....

By a LS or B20 engine....Use itt. Leave it alone. They are strong engines, You don't have to have Vtec...Most B18 non-vtec engines will be faster than B16 engines anyday...I personally in your case would buya 18/20, put it in...sell your head. You will get alost as much out of your head as you can buy a B20/18 for.. And you get SOME tq.

do some research, the b20 never was available in obd0 so you will need a conversion harness or to convert the motor.
