Default cam timing?

got some camgears what kind of power should i expect out of them with the build i have stage 3 cams 496 lift ,comp is at 11.5. i will be tunning it agian now that i got the gears so no worries. jus curious on the #s. i alreadyave 196whp is hoping for a little over 200.

Maby a few ponies, It really depends. Every motor setup is diffrent.

I know for example, Rocket motorsport cams usually run best when set at Zero. Your tuner should have some insight on what kind of gains you will yeild.

Really the only way to find out is to jump on the dyno, and start messing around with them to see what happens.

Nice numbers BTW, Easily over 200whp on a Dynojet.

Unless your cams are dialed in from when u first assembled the motor, it's really going to be a guessing game like Mike said. you could end up turning them 1 degree and dick your whole head up. the point is you really don't know unless you dial in the cams from the beginning.

I definitely wouldn't put the cam gears in and turn them a few degrees then go out and see what it feels like haha. Dyno is your friend.

no i would do that.... and yes dyno is my best friend i would put them on and head strait to the dyno.im actually going on mon.to finish my tune i wanted to put some more miles on it before we did a full race tune, thanks guyz for thew input
