don't grind the gears, mis-shift, or anything cause those trannys don't like being beat on.

You can beat on the 6mt trannies. Just be sure to change out fluids more frequently when you do give it a good beating.

anything that is not MT6 Sti tranny case will be what we subie call "glass tranny"... its not that weak... people who doesnt know how to drive breaks them.. i have owned my subie for 4 yrs, bought it 45k miles, now 125k later ,still on stock clutch and tranny.

all AWD tranny will be fragile due to the fact that the tranny has to transfer the power to all 4 wheels. dont let anyone scare you. subies are a beast of a car..

my car has no mods besides a catback.. not even a downpipe or up pipe. first time at the track run a 13.9 something street tires on 16 psi.. (stock 13.5 for wrx) on 93 oct 3 yrs ago. i was lucky to have a very good launch and i suck at launching this car.

Sti's are all 2.5.

06/07 wrx are 2.5

02-05 wrx are 2.0

USDM of course.

funny how we actually get the bigger motor STi compared to JDM Sti's.

The JDM STi has a 2 liter yet still puts out as much power as our 2.5, says alot about the engineering. i know a guy around who took his WRX to wrenches and got a STi swap done.
