Default RSX Idle Problem

so this morning heading to work the rsx decided it wanted to start idle surging.. any ideas as to what would cause it to start doing this all of a sudden.. Its freezing out so havn't had time to look at it really just yet!

could be a leak on the intake manifold. either gasket or vacum hose. or the idle air control unit or what ever its called on the back of the intake manifold

not sure.. never had this happen before. the only thing I have done is the tb bypass.. so I was gonna swap it back seems how it got really cold past couple of days and change the manifold gasket too.. but it would idle surge from 1 to 2000 back and forth when in neutral or on the clutch.. just started doing it this morning.. no other issues before!!

it was doing it when the car warmed up.. but just happened when we had the freezing cold temps.. I had the coolant by pass through the throttle.. so I switched it back and it was running normal again on sunday and havn't had a problem since!!

Rsx's have automatic idlers, which means that you have a sensor either a temp sensor or vaccuum sensor that may be malfunctioning. Check your manifold air pressure readings right when it does it.

My car was doing it too, I think it was cuz of how cold it was because once it got nicer out like all this week was so far in iowa car has been idleing perfect but when it was cold it was surging all the way to 3,000 RPM warmed up and everything but now its fine
