Default ep3 strut replacement install help

I am working on replacing struts for a Ep3 03. when I got the strut out on both sides, am not able to push the axels back to align up with the bottom strut bolts of the new struts. It seems like the axel pop out of place. did I pull it out of place when i was taking the old struts out? Can anyone tell me if i did something wrong or how to correct this? desperate help. if anyone is very experience can you please advise. i have done a couple of cars without this issue.

so you are saying to keep spinning the rotors until the axel pops back in place? does it need to be push in while turning also? We tried doing that for almost 2 hrs and the car is still up on jacks as we speak.

shit after what we have been through, the owner would probably not hestiate to give you 40 to finish it. i thought it was going to be cake walk also but never had the axels come out before. imma try to do what Randy (i think thats his name) advised. if that doesnt work, Jobe... you'll be hearing from me for a easy fix...

Mount the shock on the shock tower (3 bolts) then I assume you already have the lower ball joint & knuckle set on to the lower sub frame?

Obviously you need to allign the axle into the knuckle, so it will slide in the spline when connecting the knuckle to the strut.

When connecting the strut and knuckle, Have a friend push down on the rotor as hard as he can so you can put the 2 bolts in to connect the strut and knuckle. BOOM your done.

Where are you located? I will come help if you absolutly need it. But it is a Pita, I just did my girlfriends 02 civic last week.
