im the guy who called you about the car,

most likely its a boost leak, if you wanna drive the car to my house, I can take a peak at it.

wish i.could..lol but wont stay started long enough to drive? starts and rpm goes up like normal as it would when u normally start a car. but then rpm will go down and die out? doesnt matter if i step on the gas or not? fuel filter?

start simple.. is the battery any good.. high idle? or it just dies after starting..does the idle hang?

no high idle. just starts up normally with no problems and rpm rises like normal upon starting then slowly loses power and goes down and dies?

im thinking fuel problem... boost leaks will still let the car idle. sound to me its getting the fuel pressure built up when u turn the key on but there is not enought flow to keep the car running.. u might have a small pin hole in one of the fuel lines which will suck air but will not cause a leak just a big drop in fuel pressure. any more questions please feel free to text me.

Thanks,
Matt Franks

A boost leak and missing pipes are two different things. I have had plenty of cars that I've worked on that started out with mild to major boost leaks and they ran without dying.

Last one I had do this the pump was dying out. It would run for maybe 10 seconds.

The ic pipe was completely unhooked, he didn't even need to do a blt lol. Guess we should ask if he whistled and sprayed soapy water on his mouth as he did a visual check.
