Default boost issues..

I just bought a 93 integra turbo. Well its running off of the wastegate spring (8psi) but under full load it reads 4 psi. So I'm wondering what could be the problem. My first guess would be a boost leak. I have yet to look at it cause its been cold out. But I was wondering if there is any other problem? Like low oil pressue or anything..

Thanks in advance James

Boost leak is definitely a possibility. Another one could be the size of the turbo and the amount of air the engine can move. Is this at WOT and high RPM, or does it never get above 4psi?

Ill check for boost leaks... The turbo is just a t-25.. And under WOT is when i notice the 4psi

Like Mike said I would check boost leaks, vacuum lines, seals. If the turbo is on the smaller side it just won't move enough air up top to hold boost.

when the key is off, where is the needle for your boost gauge sitting? if it's not at zero, gauge is bad. i mention it because i have seen this a lot.
