Default subwoofer cutting off?

im not sure if i need a "better" battery or what but whenever i let off the gas and just cruise the sub starts cutting on and off, but whenever i have my foot on the gas it beats just fine...suggestions? ihave a capacitor sitting in my room, im not sure if that would help???? alternators good and the batterys not even a year old...

i would throw on the cap and throw in new fuses? also how old is your wiring? size of amp? power of sub? winter isnt nice to subs as with most electronics its very likely your amp might be going out.. happened to me last winter

well i just got it off a friend its a Dual brand sub, and the wiring just came straight out of another car i looked it up and the rms is like 150 running off a 200w vr3 amp

well check the wires could be a bad ground or a speaker wire slipping

just seem like the sub isnt getting enough power, prolly gonna upgrade on the battery if the cap doesnt help

ive ran 2 type r's on a stock battery no problem... my guess is something is blown.. name brand is the way to go!

ahhh now i see the situation well if it helps I have a 10 inch alpine type e in a kicker bazooka style box ill let go for 30 subs a month old only been installed for a week and i dont use it

run your rc wires and power wire down diff sides of your car ... try that it makes a difference

first check your ground make sure its tight and paint is sanded off. do you know if you amp is going into protect or if its shutting off? to test your battery just use a muli-meter or DMM and test your battery while the car is off should be somewhere around 12volts and also test when car is running should be somewhere around 14v if its all good i would say your amp is bad.. easy to test just hook it up in someone else car.

Dual is garbage! Is the amp going into protect mode or turning off? or is it just the sub that quits moving?
