Default klze?

Might be picking up a mx6 m-edition thats sitting in a junk yard at the moment. Its got the 2.5 klde(?) and the 5 speed, motor is said to be shot. So question is, If I order a klze from jdmtigerjapanese.com, will it work with the tranny that it currently has? Might be a dumb question but I'm not that knowledgeable with these... thanks.

If I remember right, the KLZE is basically a higher compression version of the same motor so it won't matter. The only difference is it has 199hp compared to the DE's 164.
