Default mono block 1000 alpine issues..

Alright so i got a sub and two amps yesterday and I threw them in my hatch and it would power.. but if i would ground it and touch the power cable to the terminal it would spark so i knew i had power to it.. so i figured it was remote.. nope wasn't it then I check the fuses.. they were hard as hell to get out which seemed odd.. then i noticed there were roasted... went to put new ones in and all i get is spark and smoke? WTF is up?! I took off the ground after that and then put them it but i cant connect the ground without the smoking and sparks :'(

Is this amp new? I had a similiar problem with a used Power Punch amp. It turned out to be a blown amp. Everything would spark regardless.

if you can trace the wires and see if nothing is touching, then most likely its a blown amp.

You might want to try ford and garland to see if they can fix it. Its probably better if you just got a new amp.

Ford & Garland doesn't repair amps anymore.
