Default rsx exhaust question

I got a question for the dc5 peoples

my girl has a 03 base 5spd.. and wants to put a header and exhaust on it.. I was wanting to just throw a type s exhaust on there.. I think i read a while back that I would need to upgrade to a type s header and downpipe also not sure if this is true? any body have any info

if anyone has a stock type s exhaust for sale let me know? or some type s wheels willing to trade w/ money for some stock base wheels...

Yes, you'd have to get a type-s header and down pipe. The base has a shorter exhaust than the type-s

Why not leave it and get a test pipe made to the length you need it?

to the orginal poster, i would recommend you to try to get the stock 05-06 type s exhaust, they actually make power. When you dyno a after market exhaust and the 05+ theres not to much of a difference, i actually want to upgrade to that as well. And the tip is mighty sexy
