I have a running 13B waiting for me in northern Iowa at my parent's place that I just need to bring back to DM and get put in my '86 GXL. I bought the car July 12th, 2007 with a blown engine so I've never even driven the car. I'm hoping to have it on the road before the 3 year mark.

What can i say. Rebuild number three. Renisis is crazy picky. But once you get it right, its a very productive motor.

This build is needed due to a cracked front housing. First rebuild i took out two apex seals and a side seal on the front rotor.

Never actually done the rebuild myself, however i am dying to do it myslef. I have dont the whole front stack and front plate. I jsut have never done the actual rotor part of the rebuild. In my mind if i am playing with fire and thowing hella bost at a high compression rotary, its not what i want to learn on. I will pull it and strip it and send it off to be built. First/second build was done by Steve Kan. This one will most likely be done by Brian Cane of BDC motorsports. Would have Steve do it again, but he does not do the porting or studding that i am looking to have done.

i do my own builds and tuning, i enjoy playing with fire lol.

My latest version i actually used some S5 Na rotors which bumped my CR up to 9.0. I plan to run 18-20 psi on E85. Glad to hear that someone else is boosting a high(for rotary anyway) compression motor!! sounds like you are using the Renisis still right?

Yep, still have the renesis in it. Have upgreaded "Esmeril Racing" apex seals and chryo treated Atkins seals for the rest of the motor. Running a Hybrid GT35 turbo. Should be pushing 15lbs when all said and done. This rebuild will included a bridgeport and studding of the motor in attempts to get the irons not to crack this time around. Only have aobut 3k miles since the last rebuild on the motor.

wow, you running straight gas, water/alky injection or E85? i forget the renny compression ratio- but inst it like 10:1?

I have RA seals and i did my own street port, i am using a T04E for now but once i have all the other bugs ironed out i think i'm going to upgrade my turbo because the T04 i have now only flows 40-45 lb/min which is actually going to be the limiting component on my setup. I have 2x walbro 255s in tank which are setup staged, and 4x 1600 cc injectors running E85. i need to finish the wiring and plan to fire this motor up for the first time in the next few weeks.

Sounds like a pretty cool build actually. would be interested in seeing it sometime.

Yes, renesis is 10:1 compresseion. I am running water/meth injection. Injectors are stock 280's, 800cc's and 1000cc injectors. Would love to go e85 but with our fuel system you have to tear it all out and replace everything. about 2500 in fuel mods to go e85.

Only have had a low boost street tune on it. Its running off the 5lb wastegate now. Had it to the dyno about a month or so ago there in cedar point when Steve came down to tune. Throttle body stuck open and caused the car to go full throttle and not shut down, boost spiked to 18lbs. Think thats what caused the crack in the front housing. Never got a full pull in on that session. Most it put down was 220WHP at 6500 rpm on a 5lb wastegate spring. What a tease lol. Never got to see what it would put down though a full RPM run or on anything more then 5lbs due to the TB issue.

Live in Des Moines acutally. Am in Cedar Rapids alot though. My girl works up there. Hardly ever on AIM anymore though. You going to make it to the Ziebart meet? Thats the last meet my car will most likely be at before i pull the motor for the build. Its a pretty dirty install in my opinion, going to take this oppertunity to clean up the bay and make it look good.
