Default HELP ISSUES AFTER GUAGE CLUSTER SWAP

ok, my 99 si has an integra cluster...i took it out last night and was gonna put in a stock ek civic cluster...i noticed their was a black wire out of the clips...on my way to work this morning, my radio shut off, lights were very dim and CEL came on...i stopped my car at work, and tried turning it on, its completely dead...when i pull the key out my gauge cluster lights stay on, well actually just oil light, door open light and seatbelt light...my car is dead in the water, it cranks for like a second then wont do anything....any help would be AMAZING...you can text me also at 515-554-7013 for information that may help

Had that same problem couple months ago.. Was driving and the lights started diming.. Then just died.. anyone thats knows about the answer would help me out too

yours is most likely the alternator. once the battery goes dead and there's no charge from the alternator there's no electrical power to run the car.

Hmmm.. Well to get it running I changed the alternator, starter and got a brand new battery

well i did some testing and it appeared that i had a dead cell in my battery...i put new battery in, it started and ran fine, i took the negative battery cable off while ideling and still idled fine, so im assuming it was dead cell...i let it idle for 30mns last night, checked the voltage from battery, my old one showed 5.9, and new showed 12.3, i drove it to work today and everything seems to be going fine...still a bit sceptical at this point tho
