Default 90 Accord Header/Front Exhaust Pipe

If any of you have your original header or front exhaust pipe (the 2-1 of the 4-2-1 header) I could use it. Mine is holy...not in a good way. The flex pipe portion before the cat is in pretty bad shape. Let me know how much you want if its still in good condition.

Thanks guys!

Why not just get one on Ebay for about 60 bucks with header and downpipe?

I don't trust ebay for many car parts. I bought a CAI for the Accord back in the day and it wasn't the right shape at all. They basically stole my money.

I haven't been out to any junk yards recently, but I plan on trying to make it out there this week possibly. I figured I'd just ask you guys first cuz you probably have one laying around that you don't want and I figured I could trust one of you more than I can trust a shady yard or impersonal ebay user.

You could've made a mistake and ordered for the wrong year possibly.

David (4DRLX) I think use to have one but sold it to JimB? I think? lol. I don't remember.

it's either you get one from ebay or an OEM one from the junk yard, but try to look for an F22A4 exhaust manifold, OR if you're baller get the Bisimoto Header......about 1300 dollars....which is getting delivered to my house tomorrow!

Or....you could wait until I get enough money to Jet coat my header and then install it you can have mine..but it won't be for sometime because it's probably going to cost me about 150 dollars to coat it and then get it installed.

here's the cheapest i've found for ebay header. about 60 bucks in all.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-E...Q5fAccessories

A lot of the guys have used this with no problems but then again ebay seller's products are either a hit or miss. if you do choose to go this route i'd suggest when mounting the down pipe there is a flange with the two holes to bolt the car don't bolt this down since it will crack the weld in that area.

and also are you on www.cb7tuner.com ? if not you should join! it's an Accord enthusiast site for all 90-93 Accord owners! you should sign up there and you will have tons of info on our cars.

my SN on there is : vietkid_2006 if you wanna find me.

Yeah...I'm not a retard. If I'm going to spend $120 on something online without seeing it, I'm going to make sure all the info is right. When I tried to put it on, the filter ended up where my passenger side headlight is.

$60 is CRAZY CHEAP. I feel like it would be made out of pop cans or something for that price. $1300 is retardedly expensive for a header. I guess the thing is about half of the exhaust system, but still ridiculous. Thats like buying a great header AND a turbo manifold...

Lol. yes it just all comes down to the quality of the material.

My header i got for half price because of a group buy. soo about 700 dollars. which isn't neccesarily bad knowing that it makes somewhat decent power...

Here's some info on one of the header's that where dyno'd on a stock Accord.

211,046 miles
87 octane
F22A1 engine
15.5 ft/lbs at 1560rpms

26.9whp at 6012 rpms <-------

8.5whp at 5000-5200rpms
12.2 ft/lbs at 2700rpms
Complete bolt on, un-tuned, to stock Catalytic converter

Making that much power with it just bolted on is massive power! now if you have it tuned, full exhaust, camshaft, cams it'll make good numbers.

and if you go on further with internals. ohhh it's a beast.

This is a video of Bisimoto's internals with ITB's 8k redline. and he's getting the header also. just think of the power....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PD0U2APZt50

not to say also that Bisimoto has the fastest FWD N/A Honda in the world making 400+WHP.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPFsYoe6Ujg

F has lots of potential. Okay now i'm just babbling on lol. i'm sure you like your TC more then the Accord

Yes I do. It will run with VTEC Preludes, bone stock, is loaded with features, and is just plain good looking. It also weighs less than the CB7. I'm not completely knocking CB7s, because I still like them, but I know I am partial to my tC, yeah.

My Accord is a total rusty POS. I just want it to last me another winter or two. I loved it back in the day. It was the first car I CHOSE to buy rather than needing it by necessity. I'm going into the 7th year of owning it and I've beat the shit out of it...

I'd really like to see proof of a 400+HP N/A F22A. I have a hard time believing that THAT motor could make almost 4x its factory stock HP... Turbo'd I can definitely see, but not N/A.

You got to realize that Preludes are heavy, your TC not so much.

Unbelievable? believe it.

I see. It is running E85 with the high ethanol content, it runs cooler and burns more fulling and effectively, giving the engine a little more power. Impressive nonetheless.

This is one of my favorite tCs: 2AZ-FE-Powered 1100HP tC

Obviously the pros have far more money than we do.

BTW, the tC has a curb weight of 2,932lbs. It's not a very light car.

I love how I jacked my own thread!

Gentleman,

Our Ceramic Coated F series header is $1300 , our uncoated version is $1150. I know that everyone is thinking that this is expensive but you have to realize that this is the design and engineering that is behind Bisi's insight! With that in mind this is the reason for the pricing but keep in mind that you are paying for quality and performance!

If you guys have any questions, comments, or concerns shoot me an email!

That is pretty much a work of art! Too bad it doesn't work directly with a turbo. So, does it give the 26.9 whp or the 8.5 whp in your prior post?

I'm not installing it yet until i get enough money to get it Jet coated and then i'll go ahead and install it.

but it was already dyno'd at that much power and coming from a reputable company i'm sure it's around that ballpark.

There is no way my Accord is worthy of boost or performance parts. If I keep it long enough, maybe a rebuild with some parts might do. It have everything but the multiple colored body panels going for it for the sleeper status, haha!

I don't think Bisimoto makes a turbo manifold for the F-series.

So, kinda back to the original topic a little, how often do you guys trust ebay parts tat aren't brand-name? I thought you were shitting me with the $60 price tag, but there are some that are even cheaper! I figure I might as well go with new parts if I'm replacing stuff anyways...

I would get it. Since a part that cheap if it last a year then you've already got your money's worth.

Not to mention that most of this forum that have header's are running an Ebay product. Like I said before though if you do get that don't bolt the flange from the downpipe to the chasis since people have issues with them having vibration issues of the motor shaking so the welds crack in that area. This is just the Accord problems I know that are common. Not sure if Civic's have this issue.

Do you think that it would make a difference if I made sure to get one with the OEM style flex pipe in the down piping?I haven't messed with those types of pipes before, but I figure it would have enough give that the vibrations would have minimal effects on it.

Is there an off-brand that you all use or see most out there? I know that most of them are pretty much the same thing, but if there is one that is known to be better than others... I almost thought about getting the Megan Racing header because I know that is a decent brand for only a little more money.
