um, the blue one is in Illinois, the closer the better. but some people are willing to meet up half way and what not, plus not all buys will need to be trailored

Here are a couple places you can look:
http://www.frsport.com/SR20DET-Swap-...SR20_t_26.html
http://www.modifiedstreetcars.com/ar...det_conversion
http://www.240sxmotoring.com/srswpa1.html
http://www.drifting.com/ This particular one is at first a regular online store for shirts etc., but they carry the swap video for these and may have a forum to it also.

Check those out first....i could literally site here all day and type away sites......there is just as much support for this swap as there are Hondas out there.

Hope this helps ya out a little!!

If you're looking for a guarantee on a $3,000 car you're better off scouring Joes used car lot. I can tell this isn't the car for you so you're best to keep looking, thanks.

my guess is his word isnt one to trust, i knew 3k for it was gonna be a let down

I like this one, it has alot of potential and the good workings of a project car.
As for the other guy, I figured he would flake out after the guarantee. The way I see it if you buy a car between $800-$1500.00 you know they aren't probably the best in the world. When you pass the $2000.00 range, that is a lot of money to be putting down....I start questioning a little more, we aren't all made of money.

The car on Craigslist might be, to me, a good buy only because it doesn't have crazy mods and you can truly make it your own. In all this is just my opinion and you shouldn't base your decisions on it completely. Just make sure that when buying a vehicle you don't just jump on the deal only because the owner is telling you what you want to hear.

Did the other guy have any proof of his car even being at the local shop?

I'm telling you man, that coupe is a good deal. If I had the money I would pick it up.

The rough idle could be a few things like aicv?(I think thats what its called)vacuum leak, mafs maybe even fuel needs to be cleaned, timing. With it having a blown turbo its a good excuse to upgrade

ha its tempting, its just being that its modified im gonna have to buy a beater so when that thing isnt in tip top shape, also im gonna have to get on that google for inormation, and since i'll have to put a little money in the motor it'll take longer to upgrade the exterior, but i suppose there is no rush and im sure that tubo would turn those tires over nice, and seeing its already swapped and boosted i wouldnt have to worry about do so in the future

I completely agree with Dennis here on this.
This looks to be a little more on the right way to go. IT is running, unlike the other one before, just has the idle issue and turbo (again, like I stated before) this guy is being up front about some of the issues.
If you do choose this and you end up going down to where he is at, make sure you let him know that you want to know of any other issues at hand. You just want to make sure that he knows you won't back away, you just want to be able to fix the problems right off without having to diagnose them way after the fact.
Main thing is going to be, driving it............take a test run around with him to see if he can pin point exactly what he was talking about with the rough idle.

In all, just make sure you understand that after the purchase is done.....any problems not known will be your problems now, if you decided not to ask.

you'd be surprised how honest people can be if you get on their good side and show them you know exactly what you are doing.....even if you don't!

ya i've been through a few cars where problems arose after buying so i've tried to ask more, the only problem with this guy is it seems like he doesn't know much, and he bought it like that hoping to fix things and didn't wanna do it, he said his friends took a look at the turbo and said it was bad, he stated it doesn't smoke much only after sitting for awhile, im guessing turbo seals. turbo size is stock, what's stock on these or what would be a good size to throw on

seller of the red coupe said mechanics have told him that it cuts out and idles funny because the motor wants more air and is unable to get it due to turbo. i think if i can go through with any of this im leaning towards this one, i can take care of aesthetics later. so dennis you believe that the funny idle etc would be a rather easy fix? even if the turbo wasnt the whole problem
