Default Starting issue

Lately within the last week or so my car has been starting funny. Even when its cold it will start right up and stay running. But about 3 times a day it will start right up and then die right away. After driving and it warms up i can smell a rotten egg smell. When i had my SSEi this ment that the cat was getting clogged up. If this is the same for my civic would it give it those starting problems? im not really planing on keeping this civic for a long time. When i finish school in may and get a better job i plan on getting something differnt. If it was a cat problem would a ebay cat work just fine? you know the whole muffler system thats only like 100 bucks. I know you get what you pay for but i not looking for a long term solution just a few months. Thanks for anyhelp you guys can give.

Do a seafoam treatment to it. It will help clean all the carbon buildup in the motor and cat.

If cat is completely clogged you can drop them and hollow them out.

I have done it many time and have had nothing but great results. You should always change you oil after you do run seafoam. Do some research and follow a diy thread..

No problem man. The stuff does def help with a clogged cat if that is part of the issue.

btw forgot to ask has your car been tuned up lately. When I have done seafoam treatment its a good time to change plugs and check plug wires, airfilter, etc..

Just throw some new ngks plugs in it if you dont know when they were last changed. They are cheap and pretty quick to change in this severe weather.
