Default 2001 Civic EX Automatic, stalls/rpm's drop, then works again

2001 Honda Civic EX
Automatic Transmission
116,000 Miles.

First and foremost, thanks in advance to any tips or info anyone can provide. My sisters got a civic as stated above. Her car, after it sits overnight, about half the time when she starts it stalls. She will pull out of the driveway, and within about 10 seconds of accelerating, her car stutters a little bit, RPM’s drop to 0, even if she revs it tach doesn’t move. She said after a few seconds of this, it will start working again. Any idea’s on what this can be? she said its starting to do it more and more. Ive tried searching forums and the web, but nothing ive read is relative to whats goin on here. Thanks again

sounds like there is something wrong with the fuel system, lose connector/sensor, or the main relay.

that what we were thinking too, had it at a shop and they couldnt get it to stall out like it does. its confusing lol. like i said it never leaves her stranded, doesnt do it when at speed or any stops except the initial stall after starting it

no idea. i know plugs/timing belt were done 12000 miles ago by a shop. how or what would cause the fuel filter to stall it out? not doubting, just trying to understand

fuel starvation caused by a clogged fuel filter. also the solder points in the main relay maybe bad.
also it could be the purge solenoid.
