I have a question about a 3.5 chevy mass air flow, and a translator is that a good set up or does anyone think there is a better set up with the 20g turbo? this is currently the set up on the car. Just thinking of switching to the 20g and wonder if there is a better set up? thanks!.....posting this for a friend!

Not that great of a setup unless you're getting it for cheap and really like the noise. What's he using for engine management? Ecmlink v3 can use speed density

That set up is currently on his car now! What would you suggest he switch to then? Just curious and open for opinions!!

MAFts have problems with adjusting to temp and humidity changes (both fluctuate a ton in Iowa), so your friend will constantly need to make adjustments to his tune. They also have a very small level of adjustment, but nothing that will allow you to really tune, so you will need a logger and a way to ajust fuel as well. With dsmlink sdadjust will more or less set up speed density, so tuning is easy. It also includes a great logger, and an easy way to make a wide level of adjustments.

I honestly can't think of a reason to switch to a maft from sd in link.

what's he paying for the 20g turbo? Unless it's extremely cheap I really wouldn't waste the money. Save it and apply it to a better turbo.

Look, we all say I just want to hit X amount of horsepower. But after about two weeks all you want is more!!! So spend a little more and get a turbo that's going to last and serve the addiction for more horsepower.

Deadmoans is right, the 20g is a pretty old school turbo.
