Are you planning on boosting?

Launch control is "almost" useless when n/a, a reason to bounce off the rev limiter or for some one who doesn't have a steady foot.

Keep in mind that Launch control was founded for building boost at the line on manual cars.

You don't see all of the domestic guys at the track bouncing off of a limiter to get off of the line. Same principle applies to honda guys, so I dont want any excuses, drag racing is drag racing, same concept for every car in the same class, and these guys have it down, lots of power, some boosting, some building n/a, and a car that is stripped.

You are not building any power if you are not boosting bouncing off a limiter.

2step is not just for drag racing ive seen more people use it in auto x and circut racing
its the easyest way to have a consitant, harder launch and to have traction of the line without roasting the tires

2 step/anti lag and launch control are two differnt things, 2 step/anti lag will built you boost. Launch control is GREAT for N/A cars. Controls tire spin, and helps to launch at that perfect RPM of power-slippage rate.

Its all about trying different launch rpms, I reburnt and reburnt chips to find my specific sweet spot on my CRX. Then found out with a different size slick, I could litterally use my rev limiter, built the boost there and launch really hard, pulling 1.68sec 60ft times.

And... no. Clearly have not been to a track lately, 50% of the DOM. cars use a MSD Launch control.Such as a 6AL Ignition box. And If they are not using a Launch control, Its because they can control engine RPM thought there trans-brake setup. In which is the same affect, of holding an RPM in its sweet spot for launch-slip rate.

I ran all year with DOM cars at CFR, and talked to a ton of the guys, they love the advantage these MSD Igntion/Launch control boxes give them. For the smaller classes in witch Trans brake are not allowed.

Stall's? I didn't say that all of them weren't using it, just most of them get on the stall, have a transbrake, or can hold a steady rpm and slip their clutch.

When I was at eddyville last year, there was nobody on launch control, other than a stall or transbrake.

So its been a while since anyones posted in here. But yes, the diff blew way back when, but now its got a freshy fresh completely rebuilt J1 cable tranny with carbon coated syncros.

Anywho, new motor set-up as well, there for a new launch control. Again LMK what u think.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tziWL30AGV8

heres my set-up:
B16A3 all stock
J1 tranny
stage 3 clutch
7.5 lb flywheel
header back exhaust, cheap shit
and a 50 shot
also, the car weighs 2280lbs with me in it and a full tank of gas

I knew it was goin be around there. I'll compare it to my time slip when I get home. I ran 13.9 and my car weighed 2800ish with driver at the time

October 7th, 2006.

R/T- .091
60'- 2.143
330- 5.876
1/8- 8.933
MPH- 78.87
1/4- 13.991
MPH- 98.71

B16 head with CTR cams
ITR manifold and throttle body
Vibrant header
Tanabe catback

B18 block
11:1 compression (Weisco 10:5 pistons on LS rods)
9 lbs. flywheel
B16 tranny (non LSD)

This was running on a basemap from Phearable at the time, with I think 20x8 slicks (from Kurt W) Yea this was WAY back when I was still learning about this shit. When my car was final during its N/A stage in 08...low 13's for sure but never went back to run. Car didnt have launch control or any of that...just dropped it from 8000rpm.

Well its hard where to start but i'll just say i've seen hundreds in my day.. litteraly hundreds of hondas running nitrous and have no idea what they are doing... or half know what they are doing .. not tryn to talk shit to you just say'n
1. What plugs are you running ?? what are they gapped to and did you change them b4 you went to the track ?
2. What kind of a kit are you running ?? wet or dry shot ? purge ?
3. What is your bottle pessure at when you ran that time.
4. do you have a bottle heater
5. what gear did start to spray in ?
6. do you have a full throttle activation switch or a button
7. what tires and what size??
just to give you a idea my ef b16 with a stage 3 clutch ran 14.9 all motor and stock
Then with velocity stack intake, header, 2.5 inch straight threw exhaust and a nx 80 wet shot went 12.68 with 24" slicks 50 shots are weak feeling but 14.2 def seems like you have'n some trouble with your setup. answer 1-7 and hopefully we can figure something out

Gomez only ran a 13.3 with an H22 putting 190whp down and its in a crx weighed in at almost 2000 exact with him in it.

I would say 14.2 is good for your set up
