that is an old old ooollldddd school Cali Type R bodykit. It it basically a set of Acura CL headlights (off the 97 model if memory serves me right) molded to an integra front bmuper. Very popular kit back in the day and one that obviously is still around here.....wow!! lol

If I could see the decal a little better on the wondshield it might tell me who it is....I think I know who it is.

If the scoop between the headlights wasn't there, it'd look alright. Old school Cali type r. I remember.

That kit used to be the shit back in the day...unfortunately for "today standards" it is just shit....lol. It's old school though so I tend to like that retro stuff....lol. ha ha

Yeah, they were lame but so has been the whole jdm thing as well. You gotta keep in mind though that the aftermarket industry developed most kits to reduce the amount of air under a vehicle at high speeds....making sure the nose end "sticks" to the ground, same shit they worked on when developing aluminum wings.....what made it all LAME were the people that thought it would be awesome to stick them on their daily drivers (without any purpose to them). So the EL CHEAPO aftermarket world said....you want it, you can get it too.....their main purpose was lost and thus gave way to hideous body kits such as the dragon or shogun kits (horrible dragon mouthed looking kits that had no reason to exist!!).

I still look at them as being somewhat unique because no one had thought about them beyond their function. 10-20 years from now hellaflush, stance, and jdm styled vehicles will be hideous to a lot of people....including old cars like crx's, integras, preludes, 240's and old civics.

Man, you are young. California Type-R. Uses Acura CL headlights. Nice 5 lug swap as well. These front ends from a quality mold were decent looking. There were some real crappy molds out there.

Haha do I make you feel old? Lol it looks honestly done right and if it is the same one I saw it a long time ago does any one know if this is the one with the type r motor in it? I know this might be dumb to ask but was it expensive to do back then?

My 2 favorite body kits back in the day were Buddy Club and Feels Wide body kit. I still like the Feels Wide body kit on EK hatches!

My brothers friend had a baby blue EK with that kit back then, was the SHIZZNITZ!

Not a dumb question.....and sorry we all went off topic here but to answer the question...YES. it wasn't as expensive as doing a swap now but being that all of these things were relatively new, it was a wallet buster at the time. Everything was still in somewhat of a prototype form.....as were most of the swaps way way wayyyy back. It was amazing for me to have been able to see the first gsr swapped 93 civic back in 1996. It happened to be our own mechanic and friend from our shop Speedzone in Kissimmee, Florida.
Cost him (what we thought) an arm and a leg.
