I get paid layoff during winter and go full fledge in shop.....was really nice but back to work. Just don't have the time nowadays to mingle with the board. So I'll chime in every now and then...been mostly on instagram....lol Much easier to keep up with and no major drama....lol

sup man, long time. thats cool man, i had been looking for a little car to build a track car but haven't been able to find any good deals on cars. they all seem to be all fucked up and expensive for some reason. so i decided i'm just going to track/daily my FA5.

where you at right now with the hatch?

I was building my AE86, but school and the Army are taking all my time so i'm selling it now. Might get something fun to drive afterwards, but not gonna be doing any big builds for a while now.

i still got the crx, ill never get rid of it. but the unibody is still cracked in half. twisted from all that h22 tq... its gonna be awhile 5-7 years. i just want to cruise in it again. i'm not gonna build the motor just a rebuild. maybe h23 crank, type s pistons, and if i can find some used skunk2 cams for cheap. i sold the bisimoto cams, pistons, bc crank, and eagle rods.

i wasted to much time and money on fwd street racing crap. the miata has taught me a lot of lessons. like i'm way behind on my driving skills! so this coming friday i'll be going out to Midamerica motorplex for a Full throttle orientation school!

the plan to start going to fast fridays. its basically open track on fridays from 9am-6pm april-oct. i wish more people would start doing this stuff and get off the streets. its still hard for myself not to tear it up everywhere i go. i need this outlet lol. i'm not sure how i've made it 5-7 years without a moving violation!

i kinda hope i buy another miata soon. i was gonna make this one a drift car, but i really just want to track it right now. nick D will be making me a angle kit for it soon, his got enough on his plate tho right now.

oh, and to rondey i might need magnetic racing numbers soon, maybe a custom emblem as well.

here is a video of myself at the iowa speedway, a link if anybody intrested in fast friday events, and a video of MAM.

noob alert, where can I find the guidelines/class listings. here?

http://www.nasamidwest.com/rungroups...es-Regulations

so you would be doing time trials right?

i'm worried about needing a cage or a higher roll bar. maybe my vertical height problem will help me here.

its not this coming weekend! drift event is going on this weekend, the week after is nasa.

I wanna get into this sometime looks like a lot of hoops at first tho.

yeah i know i said that wrong, its not this weekend. you'd be classed by driving experience, so you'd be HPDE1 (like me) where you have an instructor with you then you "graduate" up classes. when it comes to seat time per dollar, NASA is pretty good shit. passing tech isn't that big of a deal either, my buddy runs his neon there all the time and told me how it is. pretty much can't have any leaks, wheels have to feel solid (no play/slop), decent tire tread.. the norm.

My ae86 does not run right now, its actually on CL right now. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/4979141240.html Pulled the old motor, but ended up going to basic last summer and working in Iowa City this summer, just don't have time to finish her.

I've been so busy with running the coffee shop, and now photography full time, that I haven't been able to check on this site. It's like most people have moved on to bigger things...

I'll be in Des Moines this weekend if anyone wants pics (if I can fit it into the schedule)
