i say the small block there cheaper to build. i wouldnt trust that 3.75 inch strock though. to tuff on the blocks

How about a custom 350? I know that they have been tried, tested, and abused, but a good ol' Mouse motor is the way to go in my book. Reliability is key when building one (unless you already knew that). Heck, any engine like a 327 or a 283 would be more than sufficient for you.
