Default Michael's dc4 build/project thread

I decided to make a little thread to show my progress on my car and what i'm doing to it lately. I still have lots left in mind for this car and it is very far from even being remotely close to finished. I'm doing the body and suspension first then i'll worry about the engine later on. Has b20z2 which is nice, mainly what persuaded me toward the car. With that said i'll update as fast as I can with pictures. Enjoy

The day I got her.

From the pictures it's not so scary, body wasn't too shitty minus the hot bondo job on the driver door and the failed attempt to hammer out the dents in the passenger fender. And don't forget the EbAy special red recaro racing seats!!

The first thing I did to the car was track down some stock ls seats. $40 for both, I call that a steal.

Shortly after that I knew the gay rota group nastys had to go and the body needed some serious attention. Started sanding, filling dents and tracking down doors and fenders. Ended up trading for some ls mesh with 195 65 SNOW TIRES in the front!! Didn't know the front tires were that gnarly until I got to the guys house but what the hell anything was better than those damn wheels.

So at this point I got slightly better wheels in my mind, seats much better and with actual integra rails and I found a new door and fender. Decided to start going to work on the front clip and this is how I rolled for quite some time.

PRIMED.

To be continued..

Got lazy..real lazy and left the body partially premiered. Ended up trading some motor parts to a guy and got some gsr blades. Wet sanded/buffed em' a bit but I was in a hurry so didn't turn out the best they could be. But his stage worked for me for the time being. Had falken 195/50's put on the day after and they looked mighty fine.

I'm in the process of painting the car. It's about 85% done only because i'm going to cut the rear quarters out and replace them. You can talk shit about me choosing to paint my car like this rather the whole thing at once but it's my car, I like it. Also got reeeal tired of the whole primed look. Here is what i'm currently sitting with. I'm debating if I really want to stick with champ white or switch to silver. I work at oreilys so spending money on paint and supplies isn't a big issue.

I like the red but the driver seat was broke haha. Took it apart and one of the pipes was completely snapped in half..talk about dat gangster lean. But we welded it and they were solid. The tranny was grinding at high rpm's so I used syncromesh which seemed to help a little until I replace the syncro's
