hey of the last few days ive put in some real work in getting my gf rims powder coated.
ive use aircraft paint remover before an it has worked great. but this time one of the rims paint turned into rubber. so i had to use a wire wheel an some 3m paint removing wheel. took forever. i tried paying someone to sandblast them but they said with how the paint is acting it would gum up there machine an it wouldnt come off very well. anyways this is how it turned out. they kinda look like type R rims. thats not what we were going for tho. i wouldnt like the red honda caps anyways. there is some water on the rim i just got done washing it the paint it prefect. the powder coat was done by my friend david h.. he did it for 120 for all four!! before ![]() ![]() ![]() getting the paint out of the corners was a bitch!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ok so this is what's up.
You have to strip your rims to bare metal yourself. He will mineral spirits it Cost is 120 for all four rims but that's single colors. There are some special colors that use crome base then color that will be $25 more. You have to buy your own powder which is $10-$20 a pound you will need two pounds. Best place to get it is http://www.powderbuythepound.com/ He can only do rim sizes 16in an under. If you went to any other place it normal cost 75 a rim + striping that $20 a rims + any extra for translucent colors. It really is a great deal. His name is David H Phone number 515-669-6429
