Default Exhaust Question

Is there a difference between an EX model and a LX model with the exhaust? I have a 97 LX Sedan and after all my research they all say the headers are different. So would i need to install an EX header? Not sure if it would bolt up to my D16y8.
Here is the exhaust I want to get...

Default Re: Exhaust Question

Not exactly sure what you are trying to ask here, but y7 non-vtec motors have different size manifold and the exhaust system length is longer compare to ex y8.

All d-series headers are the same, for an exception of the y7, which has the catalytic converter attached/molded to the exhaust manifold. Unlike the rest of the d-series, the cat is separated located between the manifold and exhaust system.

If you have a y8 motor (which comes in ex models), you should have ex exhaust manifold already???

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, will this exhaust bolt straight up to my LX header without any modifications?
