thats why you running 14.2 for sure 16's andd a dry kit. if you were on 15's hitting 13's with ease

.044 is not gapped down enough for nitrous.. thats what I run on my all motor DD, try gapping the to .032 or atleast .035 also full throttle switches blow becouse every time you shift you have a delay in your soloinoid unless you are wot shifting.. when I was spraying a had a button and never let off it.. even between gears.. you can really feel the difference when entering the next gear

Go from a 50 to 100 shot, run coppers, I have had trouble with iridiums fouling out, and a .030 gap.

I feel no delay whats so ever in my set up. And i know for a fact its got 13s in her cuz im wlkin all over lt1 camaros with this set-up. My nitrous set-up is perfectly fine the way it is IMO.

Yes, for sure i need a wet kit, and yes for sure i need a lower temp plug and a smaller gap. Im not one of those guys who just put nitrous on my car cuz it was the cool thing to do. I did my research. Im not snapping on anybody for giving me advice, ill take all the help i can get, just sayin i know a lot more than whats bein shown.

You are making a BIG mistake running 16 inch tires at the track ESPECIALLY with your setup. I bet that if you had some 14's on your car with at least some BFG drag radials or Hoosier radials...you'd hit somewhere in the very high 13's.

Not doggin on your setup, just speaking from experience.

4 sure what he said and get some ngk bkr6e-11 plugs and gap them to .035 and i bet you can feel how smoother it will be up top. high reving b16's love to blow spark with wide vagina gaps nitrous i'd say 13.5 with 14's and tires and the gapped 1 step colder plugs

I'd def go to the track open header.. F*^% stock piping.. :thumbsdow:
stock timing and a 50 shot is fine. get some 14's, put them around 25psi, get the new gapped down plugs and run open header.. mid to low 13's all day after a couple practice runs

SLICKS!!!! Long time ago in a land far away....Chuck (for those in the know) ran Taylors 97 EX Coupe(bone stock D16Y8) on a 75 shot and slicks, 14.2 all day. Saw it with my own eyes and still did not believe it. Slicks make you consistent. Every .10 at the 60' is worth .15 on the big end. M & H makes a 23/7.5/15 slick that can mount on a 15x6 rim. What gear were you in, and what was your rpm range running through the traps? A 23" tire should be shorter than your 16's (rough guess 24" diameter) you were running, while getting you better traction off the line, and through the traps around the top of 4th gear. Ideal way to be running your setup. I would say to go with a 20x8 setup, as I know a guy that is selling some (used to launch his bolt-on EM1 @ 6700rpm and pulled 1.7-1.8 consistently in a 2600lb car), but they are too short and you will be shifting into 5th before the top end (very inefficient). Get some properly sized slicks, don't be afraid to beat the piss out of them launching, and run yourself some good times.

Needless to say, i was pissed. Sumthins wrong, i should easily be at least high 13s. help me in the honda/acura section.
60ft is your issue. With a slick, you could be 1.7-1.8, which means anywhere from 13.5 to 13.8 area on your setup. Does this car still have the original bushings in it? What about your suspension setup? Doesn't matter the power if you can't take full advantage of it. Just rough idea, that trap speed looks like you are around 160-170whp for the weight you are moving.

Are you getting the 555r's used? If not, I would recommend going with the BFG G-Force T/A Drag Radials instead. They have the same size available. These would be like a 23" tall street tire. Should get you through the traps closer to the top of 4th. Will not be as good at the 60' mark, probably high 1.9 to low 2.0, but will be better than your 16's were. I would not lean towards the V710. They are a road racing radial, and do not have the same tire compound as a drag radial. Better all around tire, speaking from experience. Better hooking, and more linear hookup. Plus they can take quite a few heat cycles and do not become glassy. If you have a pair of 15" wheels, the 23" slick is your best option. They will cost you around $400 after shipping and mounting. Otherwise the BFG looks to end up running about $325 after shipping and mounting. You'll have to decide if the extra $75 is worth a couple tenths.

As far as the suspension, keeping the rear end from squating will keep the weight transfer down, and keep the weight over the front tires. A set of adjustable struts would help in that department. KYB AGX are the cheapest I know of. Take some video of it launching at the track, or even on the street. You will be amazed at the amount of squat. All that squat is taking leverage off the front tires, making it easier for them to spin. With the proper slick/tranny combo and a good drag suspension, you can cut .6-.7 pretty easily.
